Welcome to the Online Campus Directory
The Online Campus Directory contains the same information as the offline version. Finding the person you're looking for should be easy. Just type their name into the search box above, and if they're currently enrolled as a student, faculty, or staff at the University of Idaho, their contact information will be returned. There are lots of ways to improve your search if you're having trouble finding someone. Use the links below to find a specific help topic, or just scroll down to browse the help page.
To find students, faculty, or staff at the University of Idaho, type a name into the search box, and press Search. If you don't know the full name of the person you're searching for, you can just type in their last name. All searching is case-insensitive. That means that a search for Dr. Anderson returns the same results as a search for dr. anderson.
Complex names like Cholodowski
If you're not sure how to spell the last name of the person you're looking for, you can search with a question mark.
For example, a search like chodowski will return 0 results, but a search like chodowski? (with a question mark at the end) will return the Cholodowskis since their name sounds like what you typed in. So sound it out if you don't know how to spell it, but you can only use a ? with last names.Other examples

The Advanced Search breaks the search criteria down even further, so you can specify more detailed information about the person you're searching for. You can break up the detials into First Name, Last Name, Email address, and whether or not you're searching for students or faculty and staff.
Why Advanced Search?
Because Advanced Search allows you to be more specific about who you're searching for. Sometimes the Simple Search returns too many results or doesn't allow the flexibility you might need. You can also return more results per page with the Advanced Search.
Search by email address.
Sometimes it's handy to do a reverse lookup to find someone when you only have their email address.
Specify a last name with more than one part.
The Simple Search has trouble with last names that have spaces in them. For example, names like von Braun and von Wandruszka confuse the Simple Search into thinking that von is the person's first name. To circumvent the problem, you should use the Advanced Search to find those people.
Wrong or Missing Information: Students
Make sure your personal listing is up-to-date by reviewing it in the Campus Directory. Try the solutions below first.
For Email Address, Permanent Address, or Mailing Address
Login to your account at http://vandalweb.uidaho.edu and proceed to the Personal Information/Address menu. Any changes you make won't be visible in the online directory until after the next update.
Student information is updated from Banner three times each day, at
7:15AM, 12:15PM, and 4:45PM.
All published student information is ultimately controlled by the Registrar's Office. Questions about your information can be directed to them at firstname.lastname@example.org. Confidentiality requests can be filed with the Registrar's Office using their forms.
Wrong or Missing Information: Faculty/Staff/Departments
Make sure your listing is up to date by reviewing it in the Campus Directory.
For Personal Directory Information
Login to your account at http://vandalweb.uidaho.edu and proceed to the Employee Information/Employee Services menu to the Campus Directory - Employee section. From here you can update your information for both the Departmental and Faculty/Staff portions of the directory.
For Department Administrators
Login to your account at http://vandalweb.uidaho.edu and proceed to the Employee Information/Employee Services menu to the Departmental Tasks section. If you have appropriate access, you can update information for your Department listing including the Mini Directory. Click Here to download Directory procedures. Usually a senior Administrative Assistant or a Department Timekeeper has access to change Department listings.
Faculty / Staff / Department information is updated from Banner every
